Meet Andrea
Having worked in the Interior Design Industry for over 20 years, I am more than qualified to assist with all of your home needs. Design is not just a job to me, colour pattern and texture are my passion. My career started whilst I was training and studying at Art College, during which time I worked for a local design firm before moving to Laura Ashely where I gained further invaluable training and knowledge. Latterly I worked for one of Edinburgh’s top design studios prior to setting up The Little Home.
I recognise that in the world of interiors a home has to fit around the people that live in it and having a busy family life myself (which includes a husband, 2 children and a hyperactive cocker spaniel!) I understand what it takes to adapt to all requirements when it comes to making a home a special place to be.
My approach to design is friendly and relaxed and as a result the majority of my work comes through referral or from returning clients. My extensive experience in interior design and sourcing is translated into ideas and solutions which clients can be assured will avoid costly mistakes and will maximise space and budget. Working along side a trusted network of suppliers, trades and fitters allows for seamless project management and client care.
Services
Choosing the design package that is right for you and working closely together, we will create your ideal space using a combination of mood, colour and inspirational boards as visual explanations of the look and feel we are suggesting. This helps give a clear path forward, creating the right environment for you.
From full project management of your design to co-ordinating and working closely with trades, we tailor our services around your needs and budget. Sourcing key items and putting them together as part of a cohesive design presentation, we utilise various swatches and samples to illustrate the best look and feel.
We understand that every clients needs are different, therefore we prefer to meet in your own surroundings for an initial chat to see what service best suits your needs. We then tailor a package for you. This can be anything from a simple colour consultation to a full design service.
We also offer a style and accessorise service if you are selling your home to help maximise viewers and sales.
For those that have already done the hard work and require some final input pulling the whole look of your home together with clever lighting and accessorising we would be delighted to help.
